hands on globeWhile there are people and families in need throughout the year in our communities, the holidays seem to make the question, "How can I help?", a bit simpler.  As we gather with family and celebrate our blessings and abundance, our thoughts often go to those less fortunate.  So where do you start?  Locally is easiest and best. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities right in our own backyard.  Modeling civic responsibility to our children is the best way to show them the importance of being involved in our communities.  By reaching out and providing support where we can, we help create communities we can be proud of. So you have decided you are ready to buy your dream home.  Where do you begin? 

The first step is to identify several key factors that will ensure you find a home that is right for you.  First, consider your current and future housing needs:

  • What type of property do you need? A condo, townhouse, or detached house?
  • How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?
  • What city and or neighborhood do you want to call home?
  • How long to plan to own the home?

Freehold Ownership

Freehold Ownership can be Non-Strata (single, detached unit) or Strata (described further below). 

In Non-strata ownership, the buyer has full ownership and responsibility for the building(s) and land.  The most common type of ownership, this allows for the most privacy and freedom of choice.

Condominium (Strata) Ownership

The Surrey International Writers’ Conference has been called the best writers’ conference in North America by presenters and participants alike. “To inspire, educate and motivate aspiring and experienced writers alike” has been the goal of the Surrey International Writers’ Conference since its humble beginnings.  They are still taking registrations for the 2011 Conference.  The Conference is one of the many events going on in Greater Vancouver this month and part of what makes Surrey, BC such a great place to live.
